To All Returnee Students

November has come.

This is the period that all returnee students are trying to pull their socks up and brace themselves for the last mile before their school entrance examinations. The remaining one or two months are tough. There may be times you want to give up, but you must press on. There may be times you are wondering why you are working so hard and distractions are affecting you more strongly than ever before. Do not give up.

Let me share with you some words of wisdom, which I hope can empower you during the rest of your journey.

Diamonds cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Only with that difficult and painful experience, our lives can become better.

During your remaining journey, you may run into problems. What are problems? Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons to Enhance Mental Strength. So, what is important is to hang on and endure them.

Look outside and you will not know where you are heading. You need to look inside. Looking outside, you dream of games, hanging out with friends, going to the movies, beaches, etc. Looking inside your heart, you awaken. You see your dreams, your aspirations, what you really want. Our eyes provide sight. But our heart provides insight.

Success doesn’t mean anything. It is a measure decided by others. Being able to go to a normal school is no different from going to an elite school. What is decided by you is satisfaction. Are you satisfied with the decision you make? That is the question you should ask.

In tough times like this, how do you stay motivated? Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

So, to all returnee students, face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

The past has passed; there is nothing you can change about it. The future has yet to come; there is no use worrying about it. Embrace the present. Use it to the fullest. It is a gift, that’s why it is called the present.

When you have doubts, talk to your parents. Talk to your friends. Talk to us, your teachers.
We are here for you.
Let’s face the challenges together!
And win!
